You'll learn their amazing story and vision. Before going to our interview questions we firstly want to thank Tamidee Boutique for this great interview.

1. Can you introduce yourself and Tamidee Boutique?

Tamidee Boutique began in July 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic by Tameka Dawkins. Tameka is originally from the beautiful Caribbean island of Jamaica. Born and raised in Jamaica, I am a mom of an 11 years old girl. Tamidee Boutique is a sole trader business that was set up to reach persons in the United States and United Kingdom who are high on fashion both in the retail and wholesale industry. After 16 years of working in Customer Service and Sales I became passionate about bringing quality clothing/fashion into the hands of anyone in need of a little “pretty and trendy me time” at a price that wouldn’t break the bank. Tamidee Boutique does just that!
Tamidee Boutique is an online retail store that specializes in female clothing. All our products are ladies wear which includes Dresses, Suits/Sets, Jumpsuits, sleep wears and wholesales items/accessories.
Our mission is always to provide an extraordinary customer experience and allow women to feel trendy and feel good with us.

2. How was Tamidee Boutique born? How did you start?

I started my business in July 2020 during the Covid 19 lockdown. I had a 9-5 job at the time however I was no longer working from the office due to Covid 19. I started working from home where I started to do some researching/brainstorming on drop shipping during my lunch/break and spare time. My drive at the time was "I have to fine something else to do". I realized most persons were taking their businesses online or was looking to start an online business during the pandemic in an effort to have multiple streams of income. Prior to the Covid 19 pandemic I always had a passion for fashion and it was always my dream to own a fashion boutique. After years of working into customer service and sales I became passionate about bringing quality clothing and accessories in the hands of anyone in need of a little “me time/dress up time” at an affordable price.
Having an online presence is important in building a business and I thought ecommerce is a great place to start. After doing research I realized that Shopify was the perfect platform for me. The shopify facilities are amazing, from being able to choose many templates to be able to offer discounts and newsletter mailing list which was absolutely awesome! Shopify was very user friendly and even offers statistic about customers/visitors and sales. I had very little knowledge about drop shopping and shopify platform nonetheless I decided to start my business.

3. What makes Tamidee Boutique different? Can you explain your products with details?

Getting noticed in a crowd of competitors isn’t easy, and it’s getting harder and harder each day. Our mission is to create an extra ordinary customer experience and to inspire women to look trendy and feel good with us. Firstly, we have to do our research and know what our competition is doing, so we try to uncover our competitor vulnerabilities and sure to play strength against them. What matters to us doesn’t always matters to our customers we have to ensure we listen to our customer’s needs and use what we find to further refine our business personality. Delighting our customers is a marketing strategy and investment for us, as happy customers will spread your name faster and we are all about that.
As a business owner we are excited to share all the qualities of our products, we want to show our customers we have the best and now trending products. Our products are sourced from top market trending suppliers in China at an affordable price in an effort to sell to our retailers at a competitive price that will not break the bank. Majority of our product materials are polyester based and can be worn for any different occasions. Our products will allow our customers to look trendy and feel good about themselves. We cater to ladies ages 16 - 45 years of age, sizes small to 6XL at retail pricing and a few at wholesale pricing.

4. What reactions do you get from your clients? Do they love your products?

Customers look for high engagement, feel a part of it and know when their voice is listened. Over the year we have acquired a few customers, the respond to our products so far is a mixture of positive and negative. The feedbacks however are more of a positive one. Our customers love our trending styles with affordable pricing. As you know we are a new store hence we find some customers who are still on the edge about conducting business with us.

5. What are the advantages of Tamidee Boutique?

Tamidee is at liberty to adjust our catalog whenever it is feasible which includes the addition of new products and making amendments to pricing to please our customers.
Always building new and improved relationships with customers.
Customers can shop with us and know that they will receive their products in a reasonable timeframe specified.
Customers are able to track logistics.
Security – customers are able to checkout without worrying about frauds or high risk transactions.
Shopify allows us to be able to expand our customer base and keep in touch with our customers.
Customer can expect to see trending fashions and styles
We stick to our policies(refunds, exchange etc..)
